Creating a Strong Community

The Chamber of Commerce provides numerous programs that help to build stonger relationships between the community and businesses to help encourage future growth. These programs include:

Better Schools Better Community

Better Schools Better Communities works to promote participation and volunteerism within individual schools by Chamber member organizations with the goal of developing a solid workforce. Meets monthly. 2010 Chair: Mike Reisman, Greeley-Weld County Airport.

Leadership Weld County

LWC is dedicated to ensuring continuity of knowledge for effective future leadership. By broadening participants’ knowledge of the community through monthly full-day classes, LWC educates the class members on a wide range of opportunities and challenges facing the community. Each new LWC class begins with a two-day retreat in September and then meets monthly from October through May. Advisory Board meets monthly. 2009-10 Chair: Bruce Martin, Weld County Sheriff's Office.

Junior Leadership Weld County

JLWC stirs the interest of future leaders – currently in middle school. Each year, eighth graders nominated by the principals from Greeley schools attend five sessions to give them a brief taste of the complex community in which they live. Advisory Board meets monthly. 2009-10 Chair: Jean Glowacki, Weld County Extension Office

Business Seminars

Educational Seminars on topics relevant to our members are offered throughout the year. The 2009 program has focused on business survival during tough times. We invite Chamber members as presenters for these sessions designed to strengthen our members' businesses. Click here for next class.
